At the Well
Angela Ricks

Day after day
The sun high
The land dry
I come to the well
Empty
Desperate for something
To quench my thirst.
Coming like Rachel
With all her sheep.

Jacob rolled away the heavy stone
And water filled them all.
Art thou greater than he?

Then He rolled away the stone
of my heavy heart
Drew deep in the well
And living water filled
All that was empty in me.
